As you are all aware, we are continuously reviewing our curriculum, and thus our language policy in order to meet the expectations in the standards and practices of the IB. Below is in reference to our language policy update:
Foundation (Nursery/Reception) PYP: French and Arabic (or Hindi) will be taught on a daily basis for 30-40 minutes.
Primary (Year1-Year6) PYP: Students will study two languages in addition to English (Language A). Every student will have to choose Language B and Language C.
Language B is a language acquisition course and will be taught a daily basis 5 times a week. Options for Language B are Arabic, French, Mandarin, and Hindi.
Language C is a culture and society course and will be taught twice a week. Options for Language Care Arabic, French, Hindi, Spanish, Mandarin.
It is important to note that Language C course options will depend on the number of students registered per class (at least 10 students are required for the school to offer a specific Language C course)
